Hi, I am Jae-ug Byun, CEO and 2nd Generation Owner of Daehan Special Metal Company. Daehan Special Metal was founded back in 1973. Since then it has been serving casting needs from various industries for over 35 years.

Those industries, such as Automotive, Marine Engine and Propulsion, Machine tools & Industrial machieries, Construction & Mining Equip, Agricultural Equipment, and Valve industry. We have been serving not only Korean domestic customers but also overseas customers in Japan, North America and Even in northem Europe. Currently more than 20% of our sales are generated from overseas customers and we are still trying to expand more in overseas market.

Daehan Special Metal has ISO 16949 quality management system and we also have ISO 14000 and OSHAS 18000 system installed in order to take care of our enviromenta & worker sdfety and health concems. In addition, we have marine class certifications from all major marine associations, such as BV, ABS, Lloyd’s, GL, DNV and so forth.

At the same time, we have very well developed IT infrastructure, such as ERP system and self-developed quality management system (what we call, PIMS, Process Info Mgt System) This enables us to manufacture castings with the higher level of process control, while it gives our customers top quality castings with maximum traceability.

Our goal is to become “Global and Excellent” cast component supplier in the market who supports customers success by providing top quality castings and engineering service.
