VPMM(Vertical Planar Motion Mechanism) for Towing Tank

VPMM device carries out testing the vertical and horizontal motions during ship model tests in the towing tank.

ㆍMaximum Angle of Attack (Vertical)     :   α = - 20° ~ + 20°

ㆍInterval of the Strut                    

      -   Vertical Motion             : 1.1 ~ 2.4 m

      -   Horizontal Motion        : 1.6 ~ 2.0 m 

ㆍMaximum Depth                 :  2.5 m

ㆍAvailable Tests

      a. Static Angle of Attack Test, Static Fin Test

      b. Pure Heave Test

      c. Pure Pitch Test

      d. Pure Roll Test

      e. Combined Pitch Test

      f. Pitch with Angle of Attack Test

      g. Rotate the ship model 90 degrees and perform horizontal plane test
