World First FLNG in Operation

Combining experience and technology from LNG carriers, offshore processes, and LNG liquefaction, DSME has successfully delivered the world’s first FLNG to Petronas.

Full commissioning at our yard enabled her to start LNG production shortly after arriving at her offshore site. She has been recorded as the world’s first FLNG in offshore LNG history and is a testament to DSME’s pioneering achievements in the offshore industry.
